The Big Pre-Christmas Office Clean

Christmas is now very nearly upon us and many of us will be closing our offices to spend time with our families and have a much-deserved rest. Here are some useful steps you should take this holiday season to ensure you don’t come back in the New Year to a messy, smelly work place.

Clear out all leftover food and bins

The worst thing you can do before locking that office door when you leave for Christmas is to forget to empty all the bins and remove any food left in fridge. By the time you get back the whole office will smell of rubbish. Ensure you clear out all food from fridges and, if you can, give the fridge a good clean. Remove all bins from the office and don’t forget to check around everyone’s desk bins for any food that might have been left in there.

General clean & tidy

Let’s face it, it always makes things easier to come back from holiday knowing your workspace is clean and tidy. Whether you do this yourself, or you hire a professional team, give the office a thorough vacuum, make sure everything is tidy, in its place and generally clean. Maybe put some oil diffusers around the place to work their magic over the break.

Lock up

Unfortunately, a lot of burglaries take place over Christmas, so be sure your office is secure! Not only would it be horrible to come back to see items have been stolen, you’ll also more than likely come back to a complete mess.
